Such a fun Colonial Williamsburg engagement session with Courtney and Nathan!
Located right between Virginia Beach and Richmond, it’s such a good photo location with it’s gorgeous views and deep history. As soon as we arrived around sunset, I couldn’t help but be taken aback by the architecture and flower gardens that were open for us to explore. It felt like stepping back in time watching horse and carriages riding by, and added such a fun experience to their session. There are such unique photoshoot ideas you can plan with Colonial Williamsburg as the location, or you can stick to a classic portrait session like Courtney and Nathan did, it’s going to be beautiful either way.
Courtney and Nathan may have been a bit nervous at first, but it didn’t take long for their excitement to kick in. The best engagement sessions are those where you can play, feel comfortable and love up on each other, and they really did just that! Whether it was walking the streets of Colonial Williamsburg, avoiding the horses and the lovely trail they left behind, or running around the open field in front of the Governor’s Palace, they spent the whole time just enjoying the moment.
Working with these two was such a pleasure, and I’m so excited to also share photos from their June 2025 wedding!
