Lifestyle & Wedding Photographer.
My name is Karlie, and I'm the owner and photographer at Karlie Whitt Photography. Originally from Kent Island, and now based in Norfolk, VA. - Serving the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Virginia & beyond.
When I don't have a camera in hand, you can find me relaxing with my husband Robbie or hanging out at the beach with my golden retriever, Leo!

The Process
LET'S BREAK IT DOWN
the session day!
Time to make some magic! Consider it date night, or family night, and get ready to have fun while loving on each other. I'll be guiding you the entire time with natural posing and candid prompts, capturing all the snuggles, kisses and laughter.
gallery delivery
It's finally time! Grab a bottle of wine, put on your favorite playlist and sift through your full gallery while reliving the memories you made.
Within just 48 hours, a sneak peek gallery will be sent to get you excited! Full galleries are delivered two weeks after the session date.
make it official
After selecting a photo package, I will send over an electronic proposal to your email. A signature and 50% retainer are due at the time of booking. No session date is secured without a signed contract and retainer payment.

Time to discuss VISION! At this point, you will receive session guides to get prepared, as well as a questionnaire so we can discuss and go over outfits, location options and general inspiration. If you would like, we can hop on a phone call to chat through and finalize the last details.

Once you are booked, you will receive the Outfit and Location Guide. This guide is filled with styling tips and tricks, outfit examples, and a large list of location options. Look through galleries taken at different locations to get inspiration for your dream session.
During the session planning process, you will also receive a questionnaire to fill out. This questionnaire is helpful in learning more about you, locations and activities you would like to include - and the general way that you are envisioning your upcoming session to go.
Your photos will be uploaded to an private online gallery that is passcode protected. For a certain amount of time, you are able to download and share your gallery directly from your mobile device. As well, you have access to an online print shop connected to your gallery.

Do you offer prints?
What is your photography style?
Where are you based? Do you travel?
Yes, I do! Will you have access to a print shop that is connected directly to your online gallery. You will be able to order prints and products in multiple sizes straight to your home. The gallery is connected to professional printing labs, who ensures accurate quality.
My style is natural colors with a touch of warmth. I aim to tell your story rather than just capturing the images, from the small details to bigger moments. While I make sure to get the classics, I aim for my clients to let their personalities & love shine!
I'm currently based in Norfolk, Virginia as a Navy family. I travel all throughout the DMV area, and the Eastern Shore of Maryland. All packages are subject to travel fees: First 100 miles roundtrip are covered, remaining miles are $0.50 / mile fee.
Can we have our session at a studio?
Absolutely! An additional studio fee will be required if you request to have a studio session. I'll send over information about the local studios with their availability and pricing for you to choose from, as well as complete the studio booking process for you.
