Virginia Beach, VA
There’s a few photography locations in Virginia Beach that I absolutely love to photograph lifestyle sessions at, and during this session with Bryel and Danny, we were able to visit TWO of those locations! From the fields of Pleasure House Point to the empty beach overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, every moment was filled with romance, laughter, and Noah Kahan music playing in the background, lol.

The Magic of Photo Session Personalization
We began our session in the tall grasses at Pleasure House Point, capturing candid moments as Bryel and Danny roamed around the field. As part of their uniquely styled session, we incorporated a cozy blanket, vintage cameras, and a delicious pepperoni pizza from a local shop in VA beach; elements that added a personal touch to the photos and made the experience even more enjoyable. After a round of fun and candid shots using the vintage cameras, they snuggled down for a pizza picnic, complete with a celebratory pop of champagne. The light during golden hour was perfect for these moments and it was such a joy to capture. These moments? Pure MAGIC!
(We’ll dive into this topic more later, but styling your photoshoot is definitely the way to go! Not only does it enhance the overall experience, but it also provides you with something to focus on, particularly if you feel a bit anxious about your session.)
Still making use of the gorgeous light there was to offer, we headed to our second location that was just a short drive away.
As the sun set, we took a short drive to a nearby beach. This particular spot suggested by Bryel has special meaning to them, as it’s the place they often visit with their dog, Nova! With blue hour approaching, the sky turned into hues of pink and blue, like cotton candy. They strolled along the empty beach, staying close to keep warm in the chilly beach weather.
One of my favorite photos from their part of their session features them drawing in the sand. (Check it out below!) It was a beautiful ending to a memorable session, filled with warmth despite the evening chill!
