Family Beach Session on Kent Island, MD
– Stevensville, MD – Kent Island –
Recently, I had the honor of photographing the Lumapas family, a Navy military family, during a gorgeous sunset at Terrapin Beach on Kent Island. Their session was filled with sweet moments, especially with their two young sons, Enzo and Ezra.
Once we arrived, we strolled down Kent Island’s Terrapin Nature Trail that led us straight to the beach that overlooks the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Sheena and Joredel set up a blanket on the beach while their older son Enzo, who was particularly excited about the beach, ran back and forth between the sand and the water with excitement. He dug little holes of sand and splashed his feet in the shallow waves. Meanwhile, the parents took turns cuddling their youngest, Ezra, who was content and seemed mesmerized by the waves.
This session truly demonstrates the kind of client experience I provide for each of my clients. Instead of the typical posed photoshoot of just smiling towards the camera, I believe in creating an environment where families can relax and enjoy themselves, just like they would on any regular evening at the beach. We played in the sand, got our feet wet in the water, and were even lucky enough to spot some dolphins in the distance! These spontaneous, candid interactions are where the true magic of photography can be captured in the most Authentic form. It’s not just about the photos; it’s about creating and preserving memories that families will cherish for a lifetime. Check out some of their gallery below!
