Virginia Beach Golden Hour Beach Engagement Photos

I have to highlight one of my amazing wedding couples, Olivia and Dylan! With their wedding in September 2025, it’s a great time to share a collection of photos from their engagement session last summer in Virginia Beach.
This session was honestly pure magic! They drove for hours just to get to VA Beach, and you could feel their excitement and love as soon as they got there. We spent over an hour wandering around the beach, capturing the sweetest moments of them having the time of their lives in those beautiful sand dunes and down by the water, looking for shells as we went.

The weather was amazing, and the sun was setting perfectly with that golden glow overlooking the oceanfront. We even came across this adorable sailboat that we used for some fun photos! At one point, Olivia and Dylan scribbled their wedding date in the sand marking the year countdown to their big day! The best part? They decided to run into the ocean together during blue hour at the end of the evening. They really took one for the team, even sitting down in the sand while the waves crashed over them.
It was such a fun session with a truly special couple! They are as funny as they are sweet. I’m so glad I was able to meet them and capture these moments, and incredibly honored to photograph their Whalehead Club – Corolla, NC wedding day in September. Be on the lookout for their wedding blog because you know an Outer Banks wedding means more beach portraits at sunset!
