Virginia Beach Photographer – Assateague Island
Being a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Virginia Beach and traveling around the Eastern Shore has allowed me to capture countless moments, but this styled session from the end of summer 2022 on Assateague Island holds a special place in my heart. These photos, though taken a while back, are some of my favorite work of all time, and I am so excited to share the story and meaning behind them.
The session was hosted by a talented fellow photographer, By Mother and Wild, who curated an inspiring styled session with eight incredible mothers. These women, diverse in age, race, skin tone, and body size, came together to celebrate the beauty of womanhood and motherhood. Located on the beaches of Assateague Island during golden hour, this session was not only such a fun and creative session to be a part of, but more importantly, a powerful statement of unity and strength of motherhood.
