As I sit down to reflect on 2024, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible people I’ve had the honor to meet and photograph. Each year, I am more and more amazed by the individuals who welcome me into their lives to capture their life moments. Your kindness, support, and love for having your moments documented as much as I love documenting them makes this job so special. Thank you for trusting me to preserve these precious memories and for making me a part of your life’s journey.

One of the biggest achievements for Karlie Whitt Photography in 2024 was being recognized as the Star Dem’s ‘Chesapeake’s Best of the Best Photographer of 2024.’ What an amazing honor it is to receive this award for a SECOND consecutive year! Thank you to each of you who took the time to vote for me daily – your support is unwavering.

Since moving to Norfolk, Virginia in 2022, I have embraced the adventure of exploring new towns and capturing moments in places I had never imagined. Being surrounded by a military community has been a fun experience. Having friends turn into family and visiting each other’s home state has got to be one of my favorite aspects. (A special shoutout to Sells for always making these new adventures so enjoyable!) Living in Norfolk/Virginia Beach area has been amazing to far, and we plan to be around for a few more years while my husband, Robbie, is in the Navy!

I am so incredibly honored that so many of you from Maryland continue to choose me as your photographer. Despite my move, I am frequently back in my hometown (and yes, I’m there quite often—lol)! It’s a running joke that I should just pack a permanent suitcase since I travel back and forth so much. I want to emphasize that I’m so excited to keep capturing your stories and book MONTHLY in my hometown of Kent Island and surrounding areas.
